Social Care Suite

This page showcases a selection of digital learning projects I developed for the Social Care Academy in my current role.

Together, they demonstrate some of my expertise in designing accessible, practical eLearning for social care audiences using Articulate Storyline, Rise, SME collaboration, storyboarding, research, and structured instructional design processes.

To protect the copyright of the Social Care Academy, the examples are presented as short video walkthroughs rather than full course access.

Supporting Communication Needs | storyline

A scenario-based eLearning module designed to help learners support people with complex communication needs.

Built entirely in Storyline, the course guides learners through realistic care situations, offering advice and feedback throughout. The project involved research, learning objective design, storyboarding, and an ADDIE-informed development process. It also included an interactive communication assessment to help learners make informed choices.

British Sign Language Directory | storyline

An interactive Storyline directory introducing common British Sign Language signs used in care settings.

The course was designed as a practical reference tool, helping learners quickly explore useful signs that may support everyday communication with people who use BSL.

Incident Form | Rise and Storyline

A blended Rise and Storyline project developed from an SME specification, using both Rise and Storyline.

Rise was used to create a comic-book-style incident scenario set in a care home, while Storyline was used to build an interactive incident form. Learners complete the form during the activity and can then view it as a finished product, helping connect learning directly to workplace practice.

software tutorial | microlearning | rise

A short Rise microlearning guide designed to help learners navigate MiDoS software.

The module uses animated GIFs to demonstrate key steps, making the guidance visual, practical, and easy to follow for busy users who need quick support.

Root cause analysis | microlearning | rise

A Rise microlearning module developed from SME-provided content.

The course introduces root cause analysis in a concise and accessible format, supporting learners to understand the purpose of the process and how it can be used to reflect on incidents and improve practice.
